ACHIEVEMENTS  


            Directorate Sainik Welfare, Chhattisgarh, Raipur (Rajya Sainik Board) was established on 10 Nov 2000 under the provision of M.P. State Re-organisations Act 2000 at Sainik Rest House, Raipur premises. After its organisation Rajya Sainik Board, C.G. has taken historic decision for the welfare & rehabilitation of the War Widows, dependents and Ex-servicemen of Chhattisgarh are as under :-

 (a) Ex-Gratia Grant Rs 10.00 lakh each to the heirs /dependent of the soldiers who are killed in War or Warlike Situation From Chief Minister Kargil Fund :-

(i) Shri Poshagi Lal Rajput F/O Late Swr Dhananjay Singh Rajput of Vill -Ratanpur, Teh - Kota Distt Bilaspur.

(ii) Smt Lorensia Lakra W/O Late Hav Rajesh Bara of Vill Baragalonda, Teh & Distt - Jashpur.

(iii) Smt Maya Dhruw M/O Late Sep Balram Dhruw of Vill Bhendri, Teh - Kurud, Distt - Dhamtari.

(iv) Smt Niramala Bai Nishad M/O Late Gnr (OpR) Keshaw Ram Nishad of Vill Bhawaramara, Teh & Dist - Dhamtari.

(v) Smt Kushumlata Sahu W/O Late Kishan Lal Sahu of Vill& PO - Balodgahan, Teh - Gurur, Dist Durg.

(vi) Smt Jyoti Kaiwart W/O Late Lance Naik Virendra Kumar Kaiwart of Vill - Nargoda, Teh Masturi, Dist Bilaspur.

(b) Ex-Gratia Grant Rs 10.00 lakh each to the 100% Disabled Solder of Op Vijay :-

    (i) Ex Sep Chandra Sen Anant, Rasidence of Vill - Gidhori, PO - Nagargaon Mandhar, Teh & Dist- Raipur.

(c) 13 Pre-kargil War Widows/dependents has been given Ex-gratia Rs 4.80 lakh each from Amalgamated Special Fund and State Budget.

(d) Rs 50,000/- has given to Pre-Kargil War Dependent Smt Laxmi Bai M/O of Late Sep Raja Rao out of Amalgamated Special Fund.

(e) Grant of Cash Awards to the Gallantry Award Winners

(i) Rs 23000/- to Col Harish Arora, SM of 14-B, Shailendra Nagar, Raipur (C.G.)

(ii) Rs 23,000/- to Late Sep Surjit Singh, SM of MIG-50, Kalibari Mandir Chowk, Houseing Board, Bhilai, Dist - Durg (C.G.)

(iii) Rs 23,000/- to Lt Col Pranab Kumar Lahree, SM of A-36, Shankar Nagar, Raipur (C.G.)

(iv) Rs 23,000/- to Maj Sanjeev Kumar Mandal, SM of 1032/1 R.T.S. Colony, Bilaspur (C.G.)

(v) Rs 23,000/- to Late Sep Balram Dhruw, SM of Vill & PO - Bhendri, Teh & Dist - Dhamtari (C.G.)

(vi) Rs 23,000/- to Capt Vinit Bajpai, SM of Vill - Sadar Bazar, PO & Dist - Bilaspur (C.G.)

(vii) Rs 57,000/- to Wg Cdr Atanu Guru, VrC of Bohidar Para, Teh - Raigarh, Dist - Raigarh (C.G.)

(viii) Rs 23,000/- to Major Sudeep Kumar Mishra, SM of 40/372, Hatripara Ward, Purani Basti, Raipur (C.G.)

(ix) Rs 34,000/- to Col Harinder Singh, YSM, SM of 5/18, Nehru Nagar (West) SAF Lines, Bhilai, Dist Durg (C.G.)

(x) Rs 23,000/- to Gp Captain P.M. Vithalkar, YM of C-5, Parijat Colony, Nehru Nagar, Ameri Road, Bilaspur (C.G.)

(f) GRANT OF CASH ALLOWANCE TO THE PARENTS OF DEFENCE SERVICE PERSONNEL (JANGI INAM). Total amount Rs 2,58,000/- (@ Rs 2500/- each) has been paid to the parants of Defence Service Personnel till date.

(g) FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE NON PENSIONER OF WW-II. Financial assistance to the Non Pensioners of WW-II has been increased from Rs 500/- pm to Rs 1500/-pm.

(h) FINANICAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDED FROM ASF ON THE FOLLOWING HEADS TILL DATE

(i) Daughter's Marriage - Rs 3,90,000/-

(ii) Death Grant - Rs 8,54,000/-

(iii) Financial Assistance - Rs 1,64,405/-

(iv) Medical Treatment Grant - Rs 48,549/-

(v) Education Scholarship - Rs 2,37,000/-

(vi) Platinum Grant - Rs 1,40,000/-

(vii) Orphan Allowance - Rs 12,000/-

(viii) Motorised Tricycle - Rs 55,000/-

(j) Employment. As on date 636 Ex-servicemen has been provided re-employment in various Govt/Semi Govt Jobs.

(k) First State level Ex-servicemen Rally has been organised on 17 Mar 2007 at Raipur.

(l) First Defence Pension Adalat has been organised on 28 and 29 Jul 2008 at Raipur.

Miscellaneous

1. Following new district Sainik Welfare Offices has been established :-

(a) District Sainik Welfare Office, Jagdalpur, Bastar.

(b) District Sainik Welfare Office, Ambikapur, Sarguja.

(c) District Sainik Welfare Office, Baikunthpur, Koriya

(d) District Sainik Welfare Office Raigarh has been shifted from Raigarh to Jashpur.

2. Sainik Rest House at Raipur has been upgraded to Capital level Rest House.

3. A new Sainik Rest House at Durg has been constructed and inaugurated by Hon'ble Home Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam.

4. Sainik Rest House at Bilaspur has been re-constructed and First Flower is under construction.

5. Sainik Rest House at Jashpur and Rajnandgaon is under construction
